About Swim Practice

Yep, I coach all types…
The dedicated swimmer:
Oh man, I can’t wait until practice, I am feeling good!
The tired but positive swimmer:
Come on body, get me through this and I promise I will go to bed earlier tonight!
The excited, unfocused swimmer:
The slightly bothered swimmer (with a whine):
Ugh, why do we have to go so long? (Say it slowly while holding your nose –it’s better that way.)
The arrogant swimmer:
I will destroy everyone today – puh-lease!
The shy, unconfident, no-looking-at-coach swimmer:
I can’t do it, I can’t do it – oh, a 25?
The friendly swimmer:
Can I get in his lane? Please?
The beach bum swimmer:
Dude, what lane do you want me in?……cool.
The demented, pain-loving swimmer:
4 x 1000 descend? : Just a smile : no sound
The hungry swimmer:
Man, I crave brownies and pretzels – someone help!
The musical swimmer:
Who is this Neil Diamond guy and why does he keep playing in my head?
The brainy swimmer:
Coach, at what angle do you want my hand when it leaves the hip in backstroke?
“Any intelligent fool can make things bigger, more complex, and more violent. It takes a touch of genius — and a lot of courage — to move in the opposite direction.”
